Hello my name is Emma Cant and I am the Centre Manager of LEAD Dayboro. I take great pride in supporting our teaching team, to ensure a diverse yet nurturing environment.
Our service philosophy aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards. This focus enables us to create environments which will captivate your child’s interest, imagination and encourage them to discover the world around them.
We are located near the D’Aguilar Range and the mountain township of Mount Mee. LEAD Dayboro is part of the community with close relationships with the local school and community groups. We believe that a sense of belonging within the community provides your children with a smooth transition from Kindergarten to Prep, which supports the idea that “it takes a whole village to raise a child.”
We cater for children from six weeks of age in our nursery, through to 12 year olds in our Outside School Hours Care Program. With large natural outdoor and purpose built indoor environments, the service provides plenty of room for learning and fun! Caring for our chickens, tending the vegetable patch, pretend play in the tepee and driving a truck in the rock garden, are all outdoor options that encourage a sense of wonder, creativity and environmental awareness.
We offer a Government Approved Kindergarten Program with an Early Childhood Teacher who fosters the skills required for success in the prep year and beyond. The children attending Kindergarten have the opportunity to transition to local schools together. Having formed friendships, confidence and established social networks.
All meals are provided and are cooked fresh every day in our onsite kitchen, with a delicious healthy menu approved by Nutrition Australia. Meal times are a special time, a time to come together where children and educators can reflect on their day.
We provide a nappy and linen service to our under two’s.
Please contact our centre to arrange an appointment to ensure we have the time to showcase the wonderful learning we have to offer here at LEAD Dayboro. We would love for you to come and visit us at the centre and meet our caring and dedicated educators, and see for yourself our wonderful service.
"My daughter has been attending LEAD Dayboro for 2.5 year and my son for 5 months and I cannot fault them. We know all the staff regardless of the room they teach in and I think this has helped my daughter transition as she has grown. We are always greeted with a smile and hello, even if just passing in the corridor. It takes a community to raise a child and I am so blesses to have the ladies at LEAD as part of my family's community."
